Benjamin Turale
With decades of experience in both operative alchemy and Hermetic philosophy, Turale has become one of the leading contemporary teachers of the Frater Albertus lineage, emphasizing the integration of practical laboratory work with the spiritual and philosophical foundations of the Great Work.
Originally trained as a psychotherapist and university lecturer, Benjamin later devoted himself full-time to the study and practice of Hermetic alchemy. He earned a Diploma in Hermetic Science through the International Alchemy Guild, studied at Australia's Paracelsus College, and completed advanced laboratory training under renowned alchemist Robert Allen Bartlett in the Frater Albertus tradition. Today, he serves as the Director of Education and a member of the Executive Board of the International Alchemy Guild, where he helps guide educational programs and preserve traditional alchemical knowledge for future generations.
Turale's work spans the vegetable, animal, and mineral kingdoms, with particular emphasis on metallic alchemy, antimonial processes, spagyrics, talismanic magic, and the philosophical principles underlying the Magnum Opus. His teaching presents alchemy not merely as an historical curiosity or symbolic psychology, but as a living Hermetic science rooted in careful observation, disciplined laboratory practice, and profound spiritual transformation. In recognition of his contributions to the field, he received the Paracelsus Award in 2021 for outstanding service to alchemy.
An internationally sought-after speaker, Benjamin has lectured at occult conferences, Hermetic organizations, and alchemical gatherings around the world. His presentations explore subjects including Hermetic cosmology, synchronicity, alchemical astrology, the Emerald Tablet, spagyric medicine, the Philosopher's Stone, and the relationship between consciousness and the natural world.
